I have tried several different typs of Blu-rays, from different movie studios, and none of them appear to work anymore. When inserting a DVD it starts playing automatically, as it should. The splash screen appears, but instead of loading the disc, the drive stops spinning completely after several seconds. I have a Vaio FZ21M, never had any problems playing back Blu-rays in its 3 years, until this week. Nobody else has posted any problems with the latest update - yet. If you have uninstalled WinDVD, the only way to recover it is as part of a full recovery back to factory settings.
